How To Use Yearly Events (YE) Tools


Overview of using Yearly Events delivery system!

The functionalities of the "YE" panel is very similar to that of the "SSB" tools panel. If you can use the "SSB" panel successfully, then you can also use the "YE" panel. What we will discuss here is the core products/events that makes up the currently provided yearly events on the system. As the name implies, we will be dealing with events that happen mostly every year in most of the churches around the world. To start with, seven (7) common events were setup that constitute the yearly events options on the system. These seven events are not the only events that happen yearly but they are the common one in most churches, that is why we are starting with these seven events. The following is the list of the events: 1) New Year. 2) Easter celebration. 3) Church Anniversary. 4) Youth Anniversary. 5) Children Anniversary. 6) Church Picnic/Outing. 7) Christmas events. You can only initiate the viewing of the yearly events from the "SSB" panel window and as a result, you can only exit through the "SSB" panel window.


As you come into the "SSB" panel window, you will see the menus reflecting the "Home" and the "Yearly Events" menu options respectfully at the upper part of the window. Clicking the menu item of "Yearly Events" will initiate the event process and its panel will open up. As mentioned above, you can see its similarity to the "SSB" panel. We have two columns pane to work with just like the "SSB" window. The left column contain the "Events", the "Year" selection area, and the "Submit" button while the right side column is the "Option Selection List Panel" area. The events are, NEW YEAR, EASTER, YEARLY PICNIC, CHILDREN ANNIVERSARY, YOUTH ANNIVERSARY, CHURCH ANNIVERSARY, and CHRISMAS. All these are discuss in detail below.


Organization Page Level!

Any selection you decide to initiate on the Organization level, will bring about a selection that contain list of events for all the Church Branches that relate to that Organization, in respect to the event selection option and its filtering/year specification.


Unlike the "SSB" window where you can also select items using the search button, Yearly Events panel does not have a search button.


BranchGroup Page Level!

On this page, you will only get list of events that relate only to the Church Branches under that particular Branch Group for the year selection filter.


Church Branch Page Level!

Under the Church Branch page, you will get all list that relate only to that Church Branch for the year specified. All other functionalities remain the same for all areas.



Events


All Events!

The description set below applied to all events. The purpose of this "YE" tool is to provide some kind of mechanism for presenting ways to view past events data that was stored on the system database for public consumption. All events have filtering specification that differentiates them from each other. These are, the filtering type of event, the option of being "Video" or "Picture" and the specific year of that event in question. Depending on these filtering selection and the time period, an appropriate result display list will be presented as the possible list of items to view.



Enter/Select Year for Option List


Year!

You can enter the year for the item you wish to view or you may select the year from the calendar tool provided on the page. One note to be aware of is that if you decide to select year from the calendar tool, go to the year box on the calendar that will be presented to you, click on the year box, select the year that you want, afterward, select any day from the calendar option on the screen to complete the year selection process.


Submit Button!

At this point, when you press the submit button, list of qualified files will be displayed on the right side of the window (Option Selection List Panel). Also, the option selection list field will be filled with description of what was selected and for what year.

Option Selection List/Play!

This is the title headings on the "Option Selection Panel". On the right side of it, you will see text box field that is use for description of selection and for what year. Just below it, it contain a box panel that the result of any event selection will eventually be displayed on.


Option List Info!

When the selection criteria has been satisfied, the resulting list values will be displayed on the panel to select from. These values will be sorted by date of the events in descending order with the latest dates at the top. NOTE: Be aware that some events may span many days. viewing may not be in a chronological order.


Option Display Panel!

This location is the same place where list information were displayed. The difference is, it will now contain the displayed product itself. This may be a video item, a grid list of thumb nails photo images or a full page size of a photo image file.


VIEW (On Page) selected option Button!

This option of submission is preferred because it display comfortably fitting into the "Option Display Panel". Even when you resize your window panel, it goes with it.

NOTE to system users:

Please note that when filling panel information and you press submit button, if error was reported and you are taken back to the input panel, make sure all required fields are still populated before re-submitting your form. Examples of fields to check are, "Country", "State" and "Address Type" fields that can loose their values in this case. This design is for security reasons.
