How To Use SSB Tools (LEVEL 2)

Overview of using SSB (Sunday School/Sermon/Bible Study) Search System!

You are welcome as always. We are going to discuss how to use SSB features in our system to display all options relating to the SSB display mechanisms. The main goal here is for you to be able to view, listen or read any of the previously uploaded SSB products from this website. Any previously uploaded SSB products on the website should have a way of displaying/viewing its corresponding result. To accomplish this, the system offered a knowledge base option panel in its tool collections. This is the tool the public will use in other to view/play/read any of the products offered on the system. Sermons, Bible Studies, Sunday School lessons and also with the new addition, the Daily Devotion topics from various parts of the Bible. Below, you will learn how all these works. On the level2 system, there are three areas in which you can initiate where to view all these products. The first is from the Organization page, the second from the Branch Group page while the last from the Church Branch page itself (The Login Page).

Also, on the SSB window itself, we have two columns pane to work with. The left column contain the "Knowledge Base" and the "Date(s)" selection area, while the right side column is the "Option Selection List Pane" area. The knowledge base for now, have four main subjects of focus which are, Sunday School, Sermon, Bible Study and the Daily Devotion subjects. All these are discuss in detail below.

Organization Page Level!

On coming into this page, you can initiate the SSB function by pressing the "Search Button" located at the upper right corner of the page. Immediately you will be presented with the SSB window page. Here you select what option of events you will like for display. Any selection you decide to initiate on the Organization level, will bring about a selection that contain list of products on all the Church Branches that relate to that Organization, in respect to the knowledge base selection filter and the selected date period. The selected lists will be display on the Option Selection List Pane on the right side of the window.

List can also be selected using the "Knowledge Base Topics Search" utility. First, you select a filter for which "Knowledge Base" item to search on. Second, you type in word(s) for title search on the heading "Search Text Box". Lastly, you press the "Search" button. These will search the system for all the knowledge base titles that contain the entered search word(s) and display them as a list if exist.

BranchGroup Page Level!

On this page, you initiate the SSB function just as the Organization level. The different here is that, on your selection, you will only get list of products that relate only to the Church Branch under that particular Branch Group.

Church Branch Page Level!

Under the Church Branch page, on initiating the SSB function, you are dealing with a particular branch and in so doing, you will get all list that relate only to that Church Branch. All other functionalities remain the same for all areas.

Knowledge Base

We have under Sunday School selection button, a video and an audio selection radio buttons. Prospective viewer will select which option of event choice they are to view. Depending on their selection and the time period, an appropriate result display list will be presented to them as a possibility option of items to view.

Sermon!

Under Sermon selection button, a video and an audio selection radio buttons will also be presented. Likewise viewer will select which event option of choice they are to view. An appropriate result list will be presented to them depending on their selection and of the time period.

Bible Study!

This Bible Study selection option work just like the other previous choices before it.

Daily Devotion!

Under the daily devotion selection, we have three different radio button to select from. The Video, the Audio and the Text options. All these are valid selection options of display. The options work the same way as described above on other selection titles.

Select Date(s) for Option List

From Date!

You put in the date for the item you wish to view. Some time you may want the system to generate list that ranges from one date to another for your selection. In that case, you put in a "From Date" and then a "To Date" values on the date fields for selection purposes. If you put in only the "From Date" for selection, only those files for that date will be reported on the list.

To Date!

Put in the "To Date" here in order to select list of option files available up to that date. If you put in a date that is after today's date, selection will only generate list up to today's date in return. If no date is provided on this field, then the list will contain files that are available for the "From Date" day only. If no date values where put for both "From" and "To" dates, no selection will be made.

Submit Button!

On checking and filling in all the appropriate selection options, when you press the submit button, a list records of all qualified files will be displayed on the right side of the window (Option Selection List Pane). Also, the option selection list field will be filled with description of selection and dates values that was used to make the selection.

Option Selection Pane

Option Selection List/Play!

This is the Title headings on the "Option Selection Pane". On the right side of it, you will see text box field that is use for description of selection and dates values that was used to make selection. Just below it, it contain a box pane that the result of any event selection will eventually be display on.

Option List Info!

When the selection criteria has been satisfied, the resulting list values will be displayed on this pane to select from. These values will be sorted by the date in a descending order with the current dates at the top.

Option Display Pane!

This location is the same place where list information where displayed. The different is that it will now contain the display of the product itself. This may be a video item, an audio file or a text file.

VIEW (Floating) selected option Button!

At the bottom of the selection pane, there are two buttons located in this area. One on the left and the other on the right. We are now going to talk about the one on the left side. This one is the floating selected option. The reason is that you can move the content displayed around on the window pane to any location you want.

There are pros and cons when using this option for your display. I will tell you though that I like using this option. To start with, this option uses an overlay technique for the display. This mean a shadow like transparent dark box will cover the content currently on the screen before your selection item, will now display on top of the transparent box. This is a good thing in the sense that what is below the cloudy transparent box, is protected from any destruction. It means once you finished viewing your selected option item, you close it and also close the overlay filter box. Yes, you have your original selected list left on the screen that you can select from again without having to start a new selection if you don't need to. On the other hand, with people using multiple screens for their display, your resultant display may show up many inches away from your main page.

VIEW (On Page) selected option Button!

This option of submission is preferred by many people in the sense that your display will comfortably fit into the "Option Display Pane". Even when you resize your window, it goes with you. The down side of it is that you will always lose your original selection list. If you want any other item from that list, you have to do the selection again.

--- Thank You ---

NOTE to system users:

Please note that when filling panel information and you press submit button, if error was reported and you are taken back to the input panel, make sure all required fields are still populated before re-submitting your form. Examples of fields to check are, "Country", "State" and "Address Type" fields that will loose their values in this case. This design is for security reasons.
